Biography

Kerstin Eder was born in Haag am Hausruck (Austria). First musical education at the local music-school and the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz. (flute, piano, voice)
Studies in Salzburg: English at the Paris Lodron University Salzburg. (Master’s degree 2008)
Musical Studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg: Singing with Prof. Norbert Prasser, Prof. Ingrid Janser-Mayr and Lied and Oratorio with Prof. Thérèse Lindquist. She finished her studies with excellence in 2012.
During her studies, Kerstin Eder could gain experience in acting and singing in productions of the Salzburg Festival in the choir. (Conductors: Ricardo Muti, Sir Roger Norrington, Ivor Bolton. Stage directors: Christof Loy, Ursel und Karl-Ernst Herrmann, Andrea De Rosa).
Masterclasses with Peter Schreier, Thomas Moser, Helena Lazarska and Gerd Uecker. Since 2011 Kerstin Eder lives in Vienna and found her vocal and musical advicer in Prof. Helena Lazarska.

Concerts with diverse Repertoire e.g. for the Salzburg Bach society or festivals like La Toison D’Art Paris, St.Gellert Festival Szeged (H), Diabelli Summer Mattsee (A), Herbsttöne Festival Salzburg or the Music summer Bad Schallerbach (A).

Cooperation with various Ensembles and orchestras like the Sinfonietta Linz, the Bavarian Police Orchestra or the Hyperion Ensemble Salzburg. Performances in major concert halls: e.g. Herkulessaal München, Brucknerhaus Linz, Große Aula Salzburg and in Opera houses and theatres: e.g. Town theatre Wels, Communal theatre Linz, Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg or the Opera house Shanghai/China.
Concert-tours in Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland und China.
TV and Radio broadcast productions.

Opera productions: Kerstin Eder sang parts like Dido in Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, 2. Dame in W.A. Mozart‘s Die Zauberflöte, Bastien in W.A.Mozart‘s Bastien und Bastienne, as well as Hänsel in the opera Hänsel und Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck.
Engagements at the theatre-summer Haag/Lower Austria. Lead in the world premiere oft he opera Liebesluft by Gunter Waldek 2010 – Guest performance at the communal theatre Linz. Lead in the Operetta Cilli und der schwarze Graf by Hermann Miesbauer 2012.
